Like Showers on New Grass

Virgil Kraft said, “Spring shows what God can do with a drab and dirty world.”

Isn’t it astonishing to watch Spring creep in, even when we’ve seen it happen year after year? The first glimpses of crocus and snowdrops peek out from beneath the last vestiges of snow and frost and soon give way to tulips and daffodils, dogwoods, and cherry blossoms. It happens so quickly that it’s easy to miss without thoughtfully stopping and considering the wonder of it all.

God works precisely the same way with us. It’s amazing what He can do with drab and dirty people. His patience and love is incredible. Deuteronomy 2:32 promises that His teachings fall like rain, and words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants. We rely on these essentials to put a little spring in our step, color in our world, and peace in our hearts.

As we enjoy Spring 2024, the focus of the Blue Mountain Broadcasting Board of Trustees, employees, and volunteers remains on planting the seeds of Jesus’ love in every viewer who watches and everyone we come in contact with. We want every bit of color and light we experience, a gift from our heavenly Father, to be reflected in the love and care we use to plant and encourage growth.

As you marvel at the miracle of spring, also turn your eyes towards the marvel of the growth and blooms of our fellow travelers. God is working in our lives and the lives of our friends and neighbors in the community.

Thank you for being on this journey with us. Thank you for praying for this ministry. And most of all, thank you for loving like Jesus. He is coming soon. Each day, we will continue to plant seeds so that the harvest will be bountiful when He comes to take us home.
