Is that a Spring Fundraiser peeking out from behind winter’s skirts?

What a glorious time of year—full of color, hope, and promise in our valley. It is also the season when, throughout the world, we reflect on the almost impossible, unbelievable gift God gave us in His Son’s life, death, and resurrection. Praise God, from whom all blessings flow!
Working with a media organization committed to good news is a joy. I love hearing from viewers in our community that media focused on sharing His gift matters to them! As you may know, Julie Sanders Keymer and I are hosts of BMT’s show, Hometown. We often cross paths with viewers excited to share their stories of God’s blessings because of the show. So many of those stories are shared in unexpected places like the post office, the doctor’s office, or the farm store by people we haven’t met before!
And this is the impact of just one show! I wish you could hear all the stories and meet all the lives you have touched. We’ve discovered that it doesn’t matter if a viewer has known Jesus for a long time or hasn’t even met Him yet; Blue Mountain Television and Bluestream allow viewers to come as they are and see our impossible become His possible in their lives. And Julie and I get to share that those blessings directly result from your faithful support.
I should acknowledge that many of us don’t watch BMT much. I get it. We get busy, watch a show or two now and again, or discover specific programming that may not be designed for us. We may find our media elsewhere and not need one more outlet. So, should we faithfully support BMT when we aren’t viewers ourselves?
The answer is straightforward: Someone you love depends on Blue Mountain Broadcasting to spend time with our Savior, to keep them company when they are alone or afraid, or to provide a glimpse of what is happening in the community. Someone who lives nearby may be searching and stumble upon the opportunity to meet Him because BMT is here. That is why we aren’t just viewer-supported—we are community-supported. Without your faithful support, they will be left without an inspirational and local connection to the community. For nearly thirty-five years, we’ve been that connection. As we strive to keep our content and technology current, I need your support in preserving local, Christ-centered television for the next generation. I want to share how to make the most significant impact right now.
Become a BMT Watchkeeper. Your monthly gift of $10, $25, or more creates a dependable and stable budget each year so that we can broadcast 24 hours a day uninterrupted. BMT takes nearly $1200 a day to stay on the air.
Contribute to the last phase of the Wallula Move. A long-time supporter and viewer of BMT gave a very generous gift of $40,000 to use towards the final phase of our move to Wallula—transferring the critical infrastructure from Sonbridge to Wallula. That incredible donor asked me to challenge you to donate to complete this step.
Our employees and volunteers have spent thousands of hours preparing and configuring the engineering room, wiring the facility, and updating the technology, saving the station hundreds of thousands of dollars. We are very close to finalizing the process and are prepared to make that final push to complete the project by summer’s end.
The longer it takes, the more expensive it will become. It can not be accomplished without you. Will you contribute to meet this generous challenge gift?
Pray for our mission and viewers each day. Blue Mountain Broadcasting Association is committed to reaching our region with His love. Your prayers matter most of all. Pray for the viewers, the community, the volunteers, and the staff that we will execute this mission as He wills. We’d also love to have you pray with our team more formally. Each Wednesday at 9 am a group connects by phone to pray. We invite you to come when you can. I’ve included a card with instructions on how to join the group.
Just as the flowers begin to bloom, the air becomes fresher, and the earth awakens from her slumber, we pray that hearts will experience the same renewal as they are filled with the Holy Spirit and the peace of His impossible gift of eternity.
