Hometown Adventures

What is it like to spend an afternoon at Mountain View Cemetery or an evening fencing in the gazebo at Pioneer Park? And why would you want to? Do you remember the richly- illustrated classic Richard Scarry book Busytown? He tackled a great question: “What do people do all day?” These books are part of the inspiration for Blue Mountain Broadcasting’s brand-new show, Hometown.

When we look at how Jesus interacted with neighbors and the community, we are inspired to get to know the fantastic people who brighten this corner where we are. What’s exciting is that the show allows us to take you along as we explore the valley. What a blessing our incredible neighbors are; we are delighted to call them collaborators.

This valley is renowned for its unique blend of natural beauty and agricultural richness, which reflect the area’s heritage and creative spirit. Hometown provides insight into the stories behind the stories, our history, and the people who contribute so much to the rich life this valley offers residents and visitors. We are digging deeper into who we are, where we come from, and what we do all day! We want to bring you the unseen stories of the people, projects, and values that guide us.

Most of all, Hometown reassures viewers that despite the distractions of the world, when we focus closer to home, we discover that there is still purpose, hope, and an opportunity for a future that matters. There is a lot more coming up this season that you won’t want to miss! From things to do and people to meet, history to learn and stories to hear.

Join us on these adventures, and discover our valley’s many blessings! n
